Edge by Shruti Hassan – Lyrics

Maybe you can fill me up
With a bright burning red
Like the one that you saw
Inside of your head
Maybe you can fill me up with another empty space
Take cover under me
Don’t pull the rig under my feet
Maybe it’s too much
Maybe it’s too late
Maybe it’s too tough
To glue that other piece of you
Into that other piece of me

Maybe it’s a beautiful mess
Take me to the edge of whatever this is
Maybe it’s a violent bliss
I just want to break myself into pieces
Take me take me
To the edge

Maybe I can see our face
In another empty scene
Take me to the words and show me what they mean
Maybe we can build a bridge from another broken dream
Take my eyes so you can see
All the things I know are real
Maybe it’s too much
Even though it’s fate
Maybe it’s too rough
To flour that other piece of you
Into that other piece of me

Maybe it’s a beautiful mess
Take me to the edge of whatever this is
Maybe it’s a violent bliss
I just want to break myself into pieces
Take me take me
To the edge
